Statement as of 9:19 PM EST on January 07, 2009 ... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 am EST Thursday... A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 am EST Thursday. Look for spotty sleet and freezing rain to become steadier in the late evening hours before changing to snow. The snow will then continue through the overnight hours. Storm total snowfall amounts will range between 6 and 10 inches. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel difficult. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. |
