Tim Roche

Meteorological Developer

Tim Roche

Tim Roche came to Weather Underground from his home state of New Jersey in 2005 and now aids in the company's meteorological development. After graduating from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Meteorology, Tim headed out west to join the Weather Underground team. Tim's biggest achievement has been the development of an industry leading interactive weather model interface for wunderground.com. Most days he can be found writing software to support clients and public users, forecasting for newspapers and media, and hosting a twice-weekly radio show called the Daily Downpour. Tim is also an Instructor of Meteorology at San Jose State University in the Department of Meteorology and Climate Science where he has taught Met 10 and Weather & Climate classes.

When he's not predicting the weather, Tim's most likely surfing, brewing his own brew, biking, camping, hiking, or all of the above.
