Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea has been cloud free this morning.
Fog agaom along The outhsied form Turtle Bay to sd this monirng.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera I can see that Tropical storm Bud which is about due west of Zihuatanejo has been sending bands of showers toward the coast from around Manzanillo south to Acapulco all night and they continue this morning.
Rain totals there were 4.5 inches since midnight. They were the only station that reported rain totals this morning.
Brother Bud is having a hard time trying to become our first hurricane this year. Right now it does not look like he is going to make it. His wind speeds are around 35-40 knot right now and are forecast to increase to perhaps 50 knots max. He is getting ready to hook a right today and head toward the coast and most likely make landfall Sunday as a very weak tropical storm or perhaps become a depression by then.
Meantime he has a very gentle spiral (of course no eye) and is sending waves of showers toward the coast. It looks like they can expect a lot of rain from this system though.
That’s about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where as I mentioned lows will dominate the weather pattern for the remainder of the week.
The low moving from the east into the Great Basin will give cause to strong winds along the coast and the southwest with about a 17 mb gradient between the coast and the Great Basin
The British Columbia low will bring rain to the Great Northwest today and another one will move through next Sunday.
The first British Columbia low will dip south into northern California on Friday morning resulting in a substantial cool down Friday. There is some moisture associated with this system which could result in some light showers in northern California on Friday.
Looking now at southern California where the low moving into the Great Basin will increase the onshore winds through Thursday as well as cool things down for the southland. They can expect Fog and drizzle along the coast and gusterly winds in the mountains and deserts.
The British Columbia lows will be a player on Friday and Saturday bringing more cooling and more strong west winds. They could also see some light rain this weekend. Sunday should start a warming trend.
Looking now over to the southwest where very low humidity, hot temperatures and gusterly winds have put the red flag fire advisories up all over the state.
The high pressure ridge that brought hot temperatures to the region will depart today starting a cooling trend that will last into the weekend. It will only be around 102 in the Tucson area today. The airport in Tucson report 11% humidity there this morning. Bob station at Herferd was 9% at 5am.
A series of dry troughs will move through the southwestern conus today through Saturday, It will be breezy in the afternoons. Next week the lows will have departed the region and high pressure will bring a return of seasonal temperatures.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the entire Sea will see southerlies for the 3-day forecast period.
Today the northern Sea will see southerlies to 30 knots.
The central Sea at the northern crossing will see southerlies to around 20 and bit higher along the Sonoran coast. The rest of the central Sea should see moderate southerlies.
The southern Sea just moderate S or SW winds for the 3-day forecast period .
Temperature about the same as yesterday and be in the mid to high 90s with some locations breaking the century mark today.
