a low pressure system will move through the Gulf of St Lawrence on
Thursday and across the great Northern Peninsula Thursday evening.
The system will bring total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 20
centimetres to the great Northern Peninsula on Thursday.
Blowing snow can be expected over exposed areas in the region.
Meanwhile snow will change to an extended period of freezing rain
over inland regions of the South Coast and Central Newfoundland
Thursday morning. The freezing rain will gradually change to rain
showers in the afternoon as temperature rise above freezing.
