      (1) at 240000z, typhoon 03w (Sanvu) was located near 18.7n
139.2e, approximately 375 nm south-southwest of iwo to, Japan, and
had tracked north-northwestward at 08 knots over the past six hours.
Maximum sustained surface winds were estimated at 65 knots gusting
