There were large frost crystals on exposed grass blades. They were as big as my little finger's nail, and sparkled in the sun. You can see the dendritic or tree-like structure.

I've lived in Ann Arbor for many years. I walk the dogs most days and often carry my camera. It's a little Canon and easy to take along.
